Big news last week after the post that Zuckerberg made regarding some big changes happening with Facebook!
So what was the news? He wants to make sure the time people spend on Facebook is well spent.
In his post on January 11th, Zuckerberg stated:
“Based on this, we’re making a major change to how we build Facebook. I’m changing the goal I give our product teams from focusing on helping you find relevant content to helping you have more meaningful social interactions.”
From helping you find relevant content, to helping you have more meaningful social interactions…
Facebook wants people to interact more and start conversations with each other. This also comes together in Facebook’s Mission Statement:
“Bring the world closer together”
Just recently we share a blog with you –> Who Is Winning In The Real Estate: Facebook Vs. Portals
I’ve had a lot of questions from clients & partners over the last few days, wondering:
“What exactly does that mean for my real estate business?”
And more importantly…
“How are the changes in facebook going to affect my real estate business?”
At its core, Zuckerberg’s post points to some pretty big changes with what we’ll be seeing in our Facebook newsfeed.
That means, things will change for brands who are trying to get their content in front of their audience.
Facebook’s stock has taken a dramatic dip over the last few days, which shows the extent that business owners’ feathers have been ruffled.
This change brings some polarization for the business world:
If you have a bad or outdated Facebook strategy, these changes are only going to make things more ineffective for you and your real estate business.
For those of you who have the right strategy, it’s going to help you scale your business that much faster and with more results.
Here’s the point I want you to take away:
If you know how to drive traffic into a really powerful listing presentation or buyer’s appointment (regardless of where that traffic comes from), and get these people to sign up at the right price and conditions.
…then you won’t ever have to depend on any single social media or advertising platform.
Many marketing experts will tell you that creating content and pushing value to your customers is the right way to market yourself and your business. And they are absolutely right. But that’s the long-term game. That’s the game where you will spend at least between the 8 months and 3 years creating content before getting the real organic results.
So, what do you do in the meantime, well the one thing that every great business, brand or successful real estate agent does. They spend their money and time on paid traffic. They pay to get real traffic to presentation, website, offer or brand. And with this you don’t spend endless hours creating content. No with paid advertising you can get results the same day.
If you don’t know how to advertise on Facebook for your real estate business (or need some help with driving traffic) …
If you’ve been relying heavily on organic traffic, or are sick of the soul-crushing content-grind “model” that steals your entire day with little results to show for it…
If you’re hearing all sorts of different contradicting ideas about how to set up your business, and it’s confusing you…
